University of Minho – Dept. Civil Engineering – Campus de Azurém – Guimarães – Portugal
The University of Minho – Portugal - is organizing the seventh edition of the advanced Masters in Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions to be held in Padova (Italy) and Barcelona (Spain).
For the first time the courses taught within the Erasmus Mundus SAHC programme can now be attended separately, without the need to enrol in the SAHC Master Course.
These courses are of interest to those interested in the conservation, repair and strengthening of the built heritage, be it monuments, other cultural heritage buildings or existing buildings in general. This includes mainly civil engineers and architects, but also, for some courses, art historians, archaeologists and other interested in cultural heritage buildings, as well as heritage authorities and graduate students (MSc or PhD) enrolled in other programs.
Among the courses: history of construction and conservation, structural analysis techniques, seismic behaviour and structural dynamics, inspection and diagnosis, repairing and strengthening techniques and restoration and conservation of materials.
