NEREA is an academic-like spinoff engaged in historical, archival, diagnostics analyses for planning restoration and enhancement of cultural heritage. Multimedia products, including virtual restoration and 3D modelling of historical buildings and monuments, are results of original research. NEREA participate in international networks and projects.
Nerea is a “Centre for the innovation” dedicated to research in field of restoration of architectural heritage.
The Nerea Centre is one of the results of the project co-funded by the Region Emilia-Romagna within the Measure 3.4 Action B of the Regional Program for Industrial Research, Innovation and Technological Transfer (PRRIITT).
The activity of Nerea Centre devolves three main missions:
- NEREA is an operating laboratory for elaboration of standards and specifications for certification of product and process and for monitoring of risk in buildings;
- NEREA is a Network of scientific laboratories coordinated by the NEREA Centre for analysis and diagnosis related with pathologies;
- NEREA is University High Formation and it is going to organize a Specialization School in restoration of architectural and environmental heritage
